It was a fun-filled day. Yes, had a very good exercise
Well, it took us just about 30 minutes to clear all flags from the fencing and 1 and half hours in the morning and 1 and half hour in the evening to clean the divider from Lions Chowk to PulChowk.
The divider was being polluted because of the unwanted flags and large number of parag and other plastic covers thrown carelessly. Since, we youth believe it is the beauty of our City and should be green and clean. We did not wait for others to clean it. But we just made an open call in Facebook and people responded so well.
Early morning at 7 am we met at Lions Chowk and cleared the flags and other plastic wastage thrown in the divider premises. After clearing the area from Lions Chowk to Sahid Chowk we decided to meet in the evening again to clear the area from Sahid Chowk to Pulchowk. We will again be meeting at 5:00pm today to clean the divider from Sahid Chowk to Pulchowk. The best part of it was we took it as a morning exercise not as a cleaning event and we enjoyed it to our best.
Evening, at 5 pm we again gathered at Sahid Chowk and started our evening exercise to clean the divider from Sahid Chowk to Pulchowk. We were able to collect about 12 sacks of garbage that were trans-loaded to the disposal van of Metropolitan Van.
Youths made their commitment to continue their clean-up exercise regularly to keep themselves and the environment healthy. 🙂
